Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here DC 2016 commemorated the 2007 bombing of Baghdad’s historic bookselling street, celebrating the free exchange of ideas and knowledge and standing in solidarity with the people of Iraq and everywhere free expression is threatened. It was a literary, visual arts and cultural festival planned for January–March 2016 that featured exhibitions and public events in Washington DC, Virginia & Maryland. 
As the Video Intern for the project, I created videos for AMSSH and published them on social media. Three of my videos can be viewed below. In addition, I wrote an article for the project's publication 'Witness & Memory' which was distributed at each AMSSH event in the DMV area.
